New Year 2024: Strict blockade and checking in Bhubaneswar from 7 pm to 2 am

Bhubaneswar: Just a few more hours and we will start the new year. A few more hours of waiting. Preparations are in full swing to welcome the New Year. The excitement about Zero Night celebration is palpable. Special arrangements have been made in various hotels and pubs. Blockade and checking will be intensified in Bhubaneswar from 7 pm to 2 am today. Blockade will be imposed at 29 identified places in the city. To catch those driving under the influence of alcohol, checking will be done by blocking 18 places. 14 platoon forces will be deployed for security. Rapid action teams will be deployed at four squares namely Master Canteen, Kalpana, Khandigiri and Rasulgarh.

Similarly, three striking forces will be deployed at Vani Vihar, NALCO and Master Canteen Chowk. Similarly, hotels celebrating Zero Night will also be kept under strict vigil.
