Newly appointed Governor of Odisha will take oath on October 31

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s newly appointed Governor Raghubar Das will take oath on October 31, informed sources said that he will reach Bhubaneswar on October 29.

The thing to note here is that the President of India Draupadi Murmu had appointed Raghubar Das as the Governor of Odisha on 18 October.

Raghubar, who was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019, will succeed Professor Ganeshi Lal, whose tenure ended on May 28, 2023. However, his tenure was extended till October 27.

Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid a courtesy call on the outgoing Governor.
