NIA action against Naxal helpers, made big revelations in charge sheet
Raipur. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against five accused who helped the Naxalites. A chargesheet was filed in a special court against the five accused for active participation in providing logistics and other assistance to the banned Naxal organization.
The chargesheet filed before the NIA special court in Jagdalpur includes the names of Vikesh alias Vicky Goyal, Balram Tamo, Sumit Dixit alias Chhotu, Rajesham Pogula and Mallesh. The five have been charged under relevant sections of the IPC and UA (P) Act and were residents of different parts of Chhattisgarh state.
The Geedam police of Dantewada district had registered a case in June 2023 after the recovery of cash. Rs 1,06,335 in cash and several objectionable items were recovered from the members of the Naxal organization. The NIA had taken over the investigation of the case. Investigation revealed that the accused were actively involved in the supply chain of the Naxal outfit. Mallesh was found to be an active member and key military commander of platoon number.
