Nine including former IG jailed for protest-sabotage granted bail

Uttar Pradesh. Nine people, including former IG and Dalit thinker SR Darapuri, writer Dr. Siddharth, Ambedkar Jan Morcha chief convenor Shravan Kumar Nirala, who were jailed in cases including sabotage at the commissioner’s office and obstruction in government work, got bail from the court. On October 10, all these people were protesting in the Commissioner’s office by camping and cordoning off the demand of giving one acre of land each to Dalits, backward classes, Muslims, poor labourers, landless families.

Dr. Ramu Siddharth, resident of Mayuri Jamaili, Neelam Boudh, Savita Boudh, Nirdesh Singh, Ayub Ansari, resident of Darapuri, Indiranagar Lucknow, Jai Bhim Prakash, resident of F Block Mangalapuri North West Delhi, Devi Ram, resident of Dankot district Gautam Buddha Nagar, Sudhir Kumar Jha and 10- A case was registered against 15 unknown people.

A case has been registered against these people on charges of obstructing government work, vandalism, violating prohibitory orders and damaging public property.
