Nitish Kumar challenges NDA to break JD-U
Patna (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has challenged NDA to break JDU if they have the courage. Some NDA leaders were claiming that JD-U would soon ‘break’.
Speaking to media persons in Patna, Kumar said, “This is an absurd statement which has no meaning. If BJP has courage, then show it by breaking JD-U.”
Earlier, RLJD’s Upendra Kushwaha, Bihar BJP chief Samrat Choudhary, Jitan Ram Manjhi and other leaders had claimed that JD-U would soon break into two parts – one part would go to BJP and the other part would go to RJD.
After Nitish Kumar’s statement, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad claimed that BJP does not need to break JDU. Nitish Kumar should make Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister of the state and then see what happens.
Prasad said, “During the formation of the grand alliance, there was a discussion that a deal has been made between Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar that Tejashwi Yadav can be made the CM of Bihar and Nitish Kumar will go into central politics with the backup of the entire grand alliance.”
Prasad said, “Now, the leaders of the so-called grand alliance are not giving them any value. He neither became the convenor of opposition parties nor a candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Nitish Kumar’s efforts failed and it is affecting Bihar also. Make Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister of Bihar and see what happens to JD-U.”
