Nizamabad: All preparations underway for counting of votes on Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat today
Nizamabad: The district administration has made all the preparations for the counting of votes for the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. The counting is to be held at CMC College in Nizamabad city.Returning Officer and Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu on Monday completed the second randomisation process for counting.Polling passes off peacefully, Telangana records 61.39% pollingHe said the randomisation process was conducted in a completely transparent manner following the rules of the Election Commission. He said the final list through randomisation has been submitted to the returning officers of the respective constituencies. He said that after the completion of the third round of randomization on Tuesday morning, on the basis of that list, staff will be appointed for counting the votes of Armur, Bodhan, Balkonda, Nizamabad Urban, Nizamabad Rural, Korutla and Jagtial assembly constituencies falling under Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency. The collector said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, a total of 558 counting staff have been appointed, including 448 personnel for counting EVMs and 70 personnel for counting postal ballots. Also, 25 percent additional staff has been kept in reserve to count the votes cast round-wise in the seven assembly constituencies of the Nizamabad parliamentary constituency. He said that the counting will be done under the supervision of 180 counting supervisors, 190 counting assistants and 188 micro observers. He said that 20 tables will be arranged for Nizamabad Urban and Rural Assembly constituencies, while there will be 18 tables for counting votes in the other five constituencies.
