We cannot distribute the Medaram fair passes by counting the food: Minister Seethakka

Minister Seethakka said that lakhs of devotees will flock to pay their alms during the Medaram Mahajatara. Therefore, he said that Medaram VIP and VVIP passes cannot be distributed to VIPs indiscriminately. He opined that it would not be great if VIPs came specially, but it would be great if they came publicly.
Seethakka said that they are thinking about how ordinary devotees will get darshan if lakhs of passes are issued. That is why they are thinking of abolishing the pass system in the actual fair. They said that local and non-local public representatives have been respected in the issue of passes and passes have already been issued. They suggested that officials and public representatives should not be pressured for excessive passes and that VIPs should behave in a disciplined manner. They also want VIPs to reconsider for the sake of ordinary devotees.
Minister Seethakka clarified that devotees will not be allowed on the Sammakka Saralamma Gadde from tomorrow. He said that arrangements are being made for darshan through queue lines. He suggested that it would be better if every devotee practiced self-control and came through the queue lines.
