Jagdalpur: Now knee operations have started taking place in the Medical College, here the team of doctors has operated on the broken knee of a woman. The woman whose knee was operated was not able to walk earlier, but after the operation she is able to walk. Hospital Superintendent Anugrah Sahu said that a woman had come to the medical college complaining of a broken knee. Where earlier knee treatment was not done in the hospital and the woman who came for knee treatment was 60 years old.

After this, the doctors decided that the woman’s knee operation would be done in Mekaj only. During this time, when the knee was examined, it was found that one knee of the woman was broken. After this, the team of doctors replaced the woman’s knee. Where Dr. Anugrah Sahu says that the replacement of the woman’s knee has been done free of cost under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The woman did not have to spend even a single rupee for the operation. Let us tell you that earlier the facility of such operation was not available in any hospital of Bastar division, people had to go to Visakhapatnam and Raipur for the operation and had to spend three to ten lakh rupees for the treatment. Now the facility of knee replacement has become available free of cost in Mekaj, due to which patients can get their knee operation done at Mekaj.
