NTPC worker assaulted and looted, three including minor arrested

Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, the miscreants first snatched the keys by stopping the car in front of the bike of an NTPC worker returning from duty. Then after fighting with a sword, looted the money and ran away. The police have arrested three miscreants including a minor in this case. The incident is of Sipat police station area. Anil Kumar Dhivar (25), a resident of village Bharvidih in Ratanpur area, works in NTPC. Last Friday, he was going to his home after doing duty. He had reached near the Uchchabhatti canal. At the same time, the car riders coming from behind overtook him. Then stopped him by stopping the car in front of his bike. During this, three youths got down and one youth remained sitting in the car. One kicked Anil’s bike down. Due to this, the NTPC worker sitting on the bike also fell. Another youth snatched his bag. After this, while fighting, took out one thousand rupees from the pocket of the pants.

Anil told the police that the miscreants who committed the robbery first assaulted him. Then snatched the key of the bike. On protesting, he threatened to kill by showing the sword kept with him, due to which he got scared. Anil had seen the registration number of the car, on the basis of which the police registered a case and started looking for him. During the investigation, the police caught Ashutosh Tiwari alias Angry and Suraj Singh Thakur (22), residents of Chantidih along with a 16-year-old boy. During interrogation, he confessed to having committed the robbery. The police have also seized his car, in which a sword has also been recovered. Along with robbery, action has been taken against the accused under the Arms Act. Police is interrogating these miscreants and collecting information about another of their accomplices.
