Odisha: Double murder in Paradip; Youth hacks two women
Paradip: In a shocking incident, a youth allegedly hacked two women to death with a sword in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district. The incident has come to the fore from the Expressway colony in Paradip of the district.
The accused has been identified as Chintu Nath, a resident of Balrampur village.
According to reliable sources, the youth allegedly hacked the two women under the influence of alcohol. However, the exact reason behind the attack is not clear. One among the two died on the spot, while the other was rushed to the nearby hospital. She succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
After receiving information about the matter, police reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent it for autopsy. The cops also detained the youth.
It is also alleged that the accused had been creating a nuisance in public for the past many days in the area.
