Odisha: Srimandir’s Land sub-committee meeting to be held today in Puri
Puri: Puri Srimandir Land sub-committee meeting to be held today. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. in the administrative office of the temple.
The meeting aims to address various land acquisition issues related to the temple properties.
One of the topics on the agenda is the proposal made during the last management committee meeting regarding the allocation of a large piece of land owned by the temple to the airport.
The proposal has sparked controversy within the temple community. Srimandir authority Mahanta Bansidhara Das Goswami has raised his voice against the decision.
He boldly opposes the idea of giving away the monastery’s land to any external entity.
Similarly, initial discussions have been held to give the oil field land at Balisahi. Therefore, land acquisition can be thoroughly measured in the meeting.
Apart from this, some applications to take the land of the Lord will also be discussed in the meeting.
