Odisha’s Similipal Sanctuary reopened for visitors from today
Mayurbhanj: The Similipal sanctuary in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha reopened for tourists from today. The famous sanctuary was closed from last 23rd October due to cyclonic storm DANA. Now, tourists can go around the core area of the Sanctuary by sitting on the open Jimny vehicle.
Similipal Sanctuary was closed from last 23rd October to 25th October due to cyclonic storm DANA. So it was supposed to reopen on 26th October. However, it heavily poured as an impact of the cyclone. Hence, the authorities announced to close Similipal again for tourists for three days from 26th to 28th and today it was finally reopened for visitors.
Reportedly, now Similipal Sanctuary has reopened for tourists after the roads were cleared. For the tourists, there are also arrangements for overnight stay in guest houses at Kumari, Ramtheerth, Gudugudia and Jamuani. Tourists can enjoy nature camping at Gudgudia. However, for this, tourists have to book in advance.
