Old man crushed by elephant, dead body found in enclosure

Jashpur. The terror of wild elephants continues in the district. Here elephants are damaging the houses of villagers and crops of farmers. Meanwhile, today again a villager has died due to an elephant attack. The deceased has been identified as Madhusudan Cover.

As soon as information about this was received, the forest staff left for the spot. The incident took place in Jurgum village of Bagicha forest area.

According to the information received, Madhusudan Kavar, resident of Jurgum Khamhar Para, had gone out 100 meters away from the house for defecation in the morning today. During this time, suddenly an elephant coming from the side of the enclosure crushed the old man. Due to this the old man died on the spot.
