Old man murdered by hanging, accused absconding
Ranchi: In Bishnupur police station area of Gumla district of Jharkhand, unknown criminals have murdered an old man by biting him with a kitangi. Actually, two unknown persons entered the house of Bihani Devi (60 years old), husband Jai Mangal Oraon, brutally murdered her by cutting her leg and ran away. The villagers informed the police about this on Saturday morning. After which Bishnupur police station in-charge reached the spot with his team and took the body in his custody and sent it to Gumla Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
According to the information, the matter is of Loga Mahua Toli village of Bishunpur police station area of the district. The deceased Bihani Devi and her husband were returning to their village Mahua Toli after celebrating Karmavasi. In the same sequence, at around 7 o’clock in the night, near the turn of the village, two unknown people asked both of them to drink alcohol and both the husband and wife agreed.

After which both of them went home, after which some unknown persons entered the house and attacked the deceased with a knife on her neck due to which she died on the spot. Regarding the incident, Bishunpur police station in-charge Kundan Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered against unknown people. The accused of murder will be arrested soon, currently the case is being investigated.
