On the horrors of Nanded Hospital, Rahul Gandhi told PM Modi, listen to the screams of mothers.
New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the BJP government over the death of several people in a government hospital in Maharashtra’s Nanded, saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi should listen to these heart-wrenching screams of the poor mother.” And asked why you always punish the poor for your crimes. In a post in Hindi on Twitter, Rahul Gandhi said, “Prime Minister, listen to the heart-wrenching screams of this poor mother from Nanded. Why do you always punish the poor for your crimes?” He also attached a video of a child’s mother screaming after the death of her child in a government hospital in Nanded earlier this week. His comments came after 31 people, including several infants, died in a government hospital in Nanded till Tuesday. The Bombay High Court also on Wednesday took cognizance of the unusually large number of deaths in government hospitals in Maharashtra’s Nanded and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts. Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyay and Justice Arif Doctor, taking cognizance of the letter written by a lawyer named Mohit Khanna, said that deaths cannot occur due to lack of staff or medicines.
