One arrested with drugs worth Rs 44 crore from Kozhikode airport

Thiruvananthapuram (IANS). A person was detained with drugs worth Rs 44 crore from Kozhikode airport in Kerala. He was taken into custody from the Kozhikode airport late on Monday night. It is being told that this person from UP had reached Kozhikode airport in Kerala via Sharjah from Nairobi.

During investigation, DRI officials recovered 3.4 kg of cocaine and 1.3 kg of heroin from him, the value of which is said to be Rs 44 crore.

The drugs were hidden in shoes and purses. Which he was carrying in large numbers in his luggage.

DRI and police are probing the matter.
