One dead, 14 children injured in collision between school van and bus in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand

One person was killed and 14 children were killed in a collision between a school bus and a bus in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand on Friday morning, police said.

The incident took place around 7.30 am near an empty road in Katkamsandi area, about 130 km from state capital Ranchi, he said.

“The conductor of the school van died in the accident and the 14 students who died were admitted to the hospital and Faculty of Medicine, Sheikh Bhikhari, for treatment,” Assistant Superintendent of , said. He said the condition of some of them is critical.” Hazaribagh Police (DSP) Rajeev Kumar said.

However, the bus driver spotted the fugitive and launched a search to nab him.
