One person arrested for robbing a Delhi resident

Kachha Pakka police on Tuesday arrested Heera Singh, resident of Chuslewar village, on charges of robbing Angrez Singh from Delhi, who had come here for some business.

The victim, Angrez Singh, was waiting for a bus to go to Dialpur at Patti intersection on Tuesday. Meanwhile, accused Heera Singh, who was driving the Swift car, came to the spot and offered lift to Angrez Singh to Dialpur as he said he was going in the same direction.

Angrez Singh immediately sat in his car. They had just walked a few kilometers when Heera Singh threatened them with a knife and demanded them to hand over all their belongings. Angrez Singh gave him all the stuff he had and Heera Singh pushed him out of the car and drove away.

Angrez Singh lodged a complaint with the police. Police station in-charge Inspector Parvinder Singh said that a case was registered in this regard on Tuesday and the accused was arrested.
