One year rigorous imprisonment to 4 accused in electricity theft case
Bhopal: Late resident of Bamor Damraun village of Bamor feeder of Central Zone Electricity Distribution Company, Pichor, Shivpuri. During the inspection of unauthorized electricity usage at Asaram’s place, the Additional Sessions Court sentenced the accused Sabi, Arjun, Mulayam and Lalaram to one year rigorous imprisonment on charges of assaulting the electrical employees and obstructing government work.
It is noteworthy that the accused Late. On the information of complainant Junior Engineer Sumit Verma at Asaram’s place, the inspection team of the company, on 12 February 2021 at 11:30 pm, Junior Engineer Central Region Electricity Distribution Company Bhaunti, Line Staff Nathuram Dholpuriya, Rameshwar Sharma, Reader Vijay Koli, Neeraj Kushwaha and others. On inspection with the employee, it was found that the consumer was secretly using the motor of one connection to run another motor. On being caught, a case was registered under the Electricity Act-2003 and the employees were beaten up by the accused Sabi, Arjun, Mulayam and Lalaram after getting the electric wire removed and the motor seized.
The case was presented by the company before Additional Sessions Judge Pichor (Shivpuri). In the case, the Honorable Additional Sessions Judge, Pichor, found Sabi, Arjun, Mulayam and Lalaram guilty and sentenced them to one year rigorous imprisonment each.
