Online training camp organized on the subject of biosecurity
An online training camp on the subject of biosecurity was organized at the poultry farm by the Animal Science Center Suratgarh working under Rajuwas Bikaner under the direction of Dr. Arun Kumar Jheerwal, the Officer-in-Charge of the Center on Tuesday.
In the program, Dr. Manish Kumar Sen of the center expressed the welcome of the chief guest Dr. Vikram Kuleri Krishi Vigyan Kendra Nohar (SMS) and animal parents through online medium. Giving information about the importance of biosecurity, Dr. Vikram said that it is very important to prevent disease-causing germs from entering the poultry farm. He told that the number of germs around the farm is controlled. Adopting biosecurity measures is always cheaper than treating the disease when it occurs, thereby reducing economic losses. Chickens can be protected from diseases by adopting biosecurity measures regularly.
Dr. Manish Kumar told that by adopting bio-security, poultry farming can be made economically more profitable as the risk of disease in chickens reduces. Necessary information was given about the different types of tests being conducted in the laboratory run by the Animal Science Center. A total of 38 animal husbandry participated in the online training.
