Taking action, on the statement of Saludin of the courier company, the police have registered a case against Jasveer Singh, resident of village Gill, on charges of drug smuggling. The complainant told the police that the said accused had booked a parcel for Brampton, Canada.
It contained 2 T-shirts, 2 jackets and a box of coins. When the goods were checked in the X-ray machine before sending, something seemed suspicious. When the boxes were opened and examined, opium was recovered from them. On this he informed the police.
