Opposition to Fourlane Company’s bitumen plant, people raised their voice in Bhali

Jawali. Opposition to the bitumen plant being set up in the populated area of Gram Panchayat Bhali by PC Construction Company engaged in Pathankot-Mandi four lane work has started. Bhali resident Aman Rana has also complained against this bitumen plant to SDM Jawali Mahendra Pratap Singh, Gram Panchayat Bhali.

Apart from this, the representatives of Gram Panchayat Bhali, Panchayat residents including Gyan Jyoti Public School Bhali have raised their voice against this bitumen plant. Panchayat representatives, including complainant Aman Rana, said that setting up of bitumen plant would adversely affect the health of the villagers, school children and animals. Toxic fumes emanating from bitumen plant can cause respiratory diseases. Panchayat representatives including Aman Rana told that who gave permission to the company to set up bitumen plant on the populated land.

He said that it is not justified to build a bitumen plant in a populated area. Panchayat representatives including Aman Rana said that under no circumstances will this plant be allowed to be set up in a populated area. He said that a complaint has been sent to SDM Jawali and a complaint has been sent to shift the bitumen plant to another place. He has warned that if the administration does not take any action on this, then it will be forced to approach the court. When talked to the site incharge Ashwani Kumar about this, he told that the plant is of a modern method, in which no one will face any problem and it is being installed only after taking NOC from everywhere. He said that installation of this plant will not emit any smoke nor will it affect anyone’s health.
