Out of school students will be given special training along with admission

Lucknow | The Yogi government, which is engaged in the campaign to bring back the students who have left school midway due to various reasons, will not only give admission to such students in schools, but will also give them special training. Through this special training, efforts will be made to bring about 2.85 lakh students up to the level of other students studying in the enrolled class. It is noteworthy that under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act-2009 and the rules promulgated by the State Government, there is a provision for providing special training to out-of-school and drop-out children in the age group of 6-14 years by enrolling them in age-appropriate classes. Has been done Under the Sharda programme, out-of-school children identified in the academic session 2022-23 are to be enrolled in age-appropriate classes and provided special training in the academic session 2023-24.

According to the order issued by State Project Director Vijay Kiran Anand, it should be ensured to start operation of special training program for out-of-school children identified under Sharda program from July 01. Out of school children will be provided special training for 09 months. If the class-wise learning level is not achieved by the student within the prescribed period, then the period of special training can be extended. A nodal teacher has been nominated by the Block Education Officer in each school for special training of out-of-school children. During the training the children will be assessed quarterly to bring them up to the age appropriate class level.

The initial evaluation of out of school children will be completed by 20 July 2023 through Sharda App. A teaching plan will be prepared based on the results of the assessment by the nodal teacher to bring it up to the age-appropriate class level. During the period of special training, out of school children will be assessed quarterly by the nodal teacher. The tasks and worksheets done by the children in the special training centers will be preserved in the folders or profiles of the children.

By monitoring the schools of Justice Panchayats allotted to Special Educators, nodal teachers will be assisted in conducting special training for out-of-school children. 20 schools will be monitored every month by the special educator. Initial and quarterly evaluation of all out-of-school children will be ensured in the allotted schools.

Special training centers will be regularly inspected by Divisional Assistant Director of Education (Basic), District Basic Education Officer, Block Education Officer. By holding regular meetings with the guardians and parents of the children in the school, the principal will inform them about the continuous attendance, learning ability and progress of the children. In case of non-regular attendance, the reasons for the absence of the children will be found out and redressed. Participation of school management committee will be ensured for identification, enrollment and education of disabled children and they will be monitored till completion of elementary education.
