Over 400 join BJP in Poonch under leadership of Nalwa
Over 400 people, majority of them from Schedule Tribe community, joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in last two days in the district under the leadership of Ranjot Singh Nalwa (State president, BJP Minority Morcha) and member of State Joining Committee.
In a function held yesterday at Gursai in Mendhar Block, over 150 women joined the BJP under the leadership of Nalwa and in the presence of Farid Ahmed Fani (Prabhari), Mubashar Azad (vice president). Besides, members of District Joining committee namely Rajesh Raina, Bashir Khan, Naresh Sharma and Sunil Sharma, other local party leaders Mumtaz Bukhari, Azhar Manhas, Sanjay Kaiser and Suriya were also present on the occasion.
The leaders of the State Joining Committee of the Party including Ranjot Singh Nalwa welcomed the new entrants into the Party fold and they hoped that their joining will further strengthen the roots of BJP in J&K. They further hoped that new entrants will take the policies and welfare schemes of the BJP Government to the last man in the row.
Meanwhile, in another function held today at Poonch Headquarter, more than 200 people from the ST community while expressing their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership joined the Party in the presence of Ranjot Singh Nalwa, Gurdeep Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and other local party leaders. Further, two more joining functions were held at Shindra and Dhundak and around 50 people joined the Party in each function.
On the occasion, Ranjot Singh Nalwa spoke at length on the policies and programmes of the PM Modi-led Central Government. He said all these programmes have been designed for the welfare of people. Nalwa said BJP is the only party which has been made to serve people unlike other parties which focus only on grabbing power to rule.
