Owaisi’s support ahead of Tamil Nadu elections, appeals for votes in favour of DMK alliance

Tamil Nadu: Political activity has intensified ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Voting is scheduled for April 23rd, and the final phase of campaigning is underway. Leaders from all major parties, coalition partners, Union ministers, and former chief ministers are continuously holding rallies and public meetings. The campaign will conclude this evening.
Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi made a major political announcement, announcing his support for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led alliance. Owaisi, a Member of Parliament from Hyderabad and president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), appealed to voters to vote for the DMK and its allies.
Owaisi released a video on his social media platform X, addressing the voters of Tamil Nadu. In the video, he urged the state’s respected voters to cast their precious votes in support of the DMK and its alliance candidates.
He also stated that his party is already supporting the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance. He also congratulated M.K. Stalin on his return to power as Chief Minister.
In Tamil Nadu, the ruling DMK, along with its allies, is contesting the elections to regain power. Meanwhile, opposition parties are also actively campaigning. All parties are making every effort to sway voters in the final phase.
Such support and appeals in the final days of the election campaign are considered politically significant, as they can influence voter turnout. Owaisi’s statement comes at a time when the election campaign is at its peak, and every vote is considered crucial.
With the campaign now over, all eyes are on the April 23rd elections. On this day, the people of the state will exercise their right to vote and decide the next government. Only after the election results will it be clear whether the DMK alliance will retain power.
