Owner and his eight-year-old son murdered, learn the full case
New Delhi. A dhaba owner and his eight-year-old son were murdered at their home in central Delhi. An official said Saturday. He said preliminary investigations revealed that the main suspect was the absconding servant, who had recently been hired by the tavern owner.
Police said the police control room received a call regarding the incident at Nabi Karim police station at 2:45pm on Saturday.
“On reaching the location across from Woodland Hotel – Arakasha Road, we found that the tavern was locked from inside,” said a senior police officer.
“On the first floor of the tavern, where the owner was staying, we found an adult and a minor lying covered in blood with cut marks on their necks,” said the officer.
They were identified as Anuj (35) and his son Raunak.
The family consisted of five members: Anuj, his wife, two minor children and Anuj’s mother.
“Anuj’s wife went to Dwarka last night with her mother-in-law and daughter. When they returned from there, they found the tavern locked from inside.”
“Preliminary inquiries reveal that the main suspect is a recently hired servant who has been missing since then,” the officer said. A forensic and crime team has been called to inspect the crime scene and legal action is being initiated.”
“Several teams have been constituted with specific responsibilities to investigate the matter,” the official said.
