Ozair Alam was living in Surat as Arjun Singh, arrested
Surat (IANS). A 27-year-old Muslim man selling clothes in a market in Surat has been arrested for allegedly using a fake Aadhaar card under the guise of a Hindu identity.
According to local officials, Narendra Chaudhary, a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), identified him and lodged a complaint of cheating against the man. The accused runs his business in Awadh Bazaar. Mainly Hindu families live in this area.
According to the information, AAP has been running a women’s clothing shop by the name of Roohi Fashion in Awadh market for the last nine years. The accused used his name Ozair Alam for official documents. It is alleged that he has made a fake Aadhaar card in the name of Arjun Singh Bhanwar Singh. At the same time, people unaware of this lie used to call him Arjuna.
During investigation, the accused told that his real name is Ozair Alam. He is originally from West Champaran district of Bihar. The accused has mentioned his residence as Rajasthan in the fake Aadhaar card.
It is learned that the accused created a fake Aadhaar card using the computer of his shop. The official said they are probing whether he had used the document for any other purpose. Police has seized the mobile of the accused. After registering the case, the police has started further investigation.
