Paddy crop ruined due to elephant attack

Korea: The elephant menace has started once again in the district. Two groups of elephants are creating havoc in the villages of Korea Forest Division. Elephants have also destroyed the paddy crop. Two groups of elephants have reached room number 622 of Baikunthpur forest range. There is information about the presence of many elephants in both these parties. Two elephants are roaming near the pond in Salka forest of Devdand beat of Khadgawa forest range. Some elephants are present in the forest near the border of Korea Forest Division. The elephants present near Khadgawa have damaged the paddy crops of the villagers. Due to which the villagers are troubled. Staying awake all night guarding houses and crops.

The forest department came into action due to elephants roaming around the village and the team of the department is monitoring the movement of elephants and the villagers are also being advised not to go near the elephants. Forest Range Officer Khargwan Arjun Singh said. Told that the damage to paddy crop caused by elephants will be assessed. Only after that further action will be taken as per rules. Let us tell you that a few days ago a group of 13 elephants had arrived. The villagers had just breathed a sigh of relief when the elephants arrived again.
