Painful death of helper in coal mines

Korba. Another accident occurred in Kusmunda Coal Mines of Korba South Eastern Coal Fields Limited. The helper died at the spot after being hit by a loader engaged for loading coal. After this accident, a crowd of laborers gathered. The workers started on agitation. They are raising slogans against SECL. They are also demanding employment and compensation. As soon as information about this incident was received, Kusmunda police reached the spot and took information about the incident.

It is being told that the name of the deceased is Rakesh Das (26), who was a resident of Batari, Deepka. After this incident, the relatives of the deceased were informed, where they reached the spot. Within no time a crowd of people gathered. According to the information received, the accident took place near Kanta Ghar number two of Kusmunda mine. Rakesh Kumar used to work as a helper in a loader lifting coal. Was engaged for coal loading with the driver at 3 pm. Meanwhile, the driver could not see the helper and an accident occurred. Kusmunda police station in-charge Manish Nagar said that the circumstances under which the helper died is still a matter of investigation. Talks are going on regarding compensation and jobs. Police have started investigation.
