Pakistan says talks underway with US and Iran for peace in West Asia
Islamabad: Pakistan stated on Thursday that it is actively engaged in efforts to end the ongoing conflict in West Asia and restore peace and stability in the region. Pakistan clarified that it is in constant contact and diplomatic dialogue with both the United States and Iran to this end.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi made this known during the weekly press briefing. He stated that all discussions and efforts made by Pakistan through diplomatic channels are conveyed to the concerned parties with honesty and transparency.
The spokesperson stated that Pakistan believes that dialogue is the most important means to reduce tensions in the region and establish lasting peace. He also emphasized that diplomacy does not stop at any time, but continues to operate continuously.
Pakistan reiterated its policy of promoting peace and stability at the regional and global levels. In light of the recent escalation of tensions in West Asia, many countries are making diplomatic efforts at various levels, and Pakistan is also part of this process.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan is encouraging dialogue between all concerned parties to prevent any military conflict and resolve issues through dialogue. The spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s objective has always been to maintain peace in the region and avoid any instability.
He stated that the role of dialogue and diplomacy has become even more important in the current global situation. Pakistan believes that the solution to any crisis is possible only through dialogue, not war.
Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi also indicated that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic efforts and remain in contact with all concerned countries. He stated that establishing peace in the region requires collective efforts, which requires the participation of all parties.
Pakistan also clarified that it will continue to raise issues of peace and stability in international forums. The government stated that it supports all efforts that work towards reducing tensions and finding a lasting solution in West Asia.
With this statement, Pakistan has once again reiterated its commitment to giving priority to dialogue and diplomacy in its foreign policy.
