Panic attacks coming from depression, youth between 18 to 24 years suffer more.
Jaipur. Panic attacks have now become a common problem among the youth. This is a type of anxiety disorder. Its symptoms are sometimes like those of a heart attack, including difficulty breathing, nervousness, sudden sweating, irregular heartbeat. If someone starts having this problem continuously then it can become serious. According to new data from the World Health Organization (WHO), 16.8 percent of people aged 18 to 24 years are victims of depression. Due to which the possibility of panic attack is increasing. Panic attacks indicate diseases of the neurosis group. When there is too much stress and unnecessary thoughts in the mind, a panic attack occurs. A 26 year old youth resident of Vaishali Nagar has been struggling for a job for 2-3 years. Due to this stress, he had a panic attack, which he initially thought was a heart attack. After being diagnosed with panic attack, he is undergoing treatment from a psychiatrist. Reasons for getting low marks in studies: A 19 year old girl, resident of Malviya Nagar, was scared and nervous due to getting low marks in the examination. After this he had a panic attack. Currently she is taking medicines and therapy.
Suppressing emotions also increases the risk of panic attacks. Most of the youth stay away from home for job and studies. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the family members to remain in constant touch with the children and understand their problems, so that the children are not afraid to share their views. Panic attack is not a disease. This does not have any bad effect on the person’s heart. It is a mental disorder, which results from anxiety and depression. Since its symptoms are similar to those of a heart attack, many people get worried thinking it to be a heart attack.
