Para athlete Sakshi Kale felicitated

Sakshi Kale, a para athlete hailing from Usgao, Goa, was recently bestowed with a felicitation by the Diya organization. The Dr. Luis Gomes Hall in Navelim, saw Kale being honored by Fr. Gabriel Coutinho, Vicar of Navelim Church, alongside other dignitaries.

Kale’s journey includes a string of victories, notably clinching the gold medal in long jump and a silver medal in the 200 meters sprint at the Bhubaneshwar Nationals in 2022. She continued to shine in 2023, where she secured the gold medal in long jump, silver medal in the 100 meters sprint, and shotput at the Gujarat Junior
Para Nationals.

Sakshi claimed the silver medal in long jump at the International Championship held in Bangalore. She also exhibited her versatility by securing the silver medal in long jump and a bronze medal in the 100 meters competition at Khelo India in Delhi.

Sakshi triumphed at the 22nd Para National Games in Goa, clinching the gold in long jump and a bronze in the 100 meters event.
