Paradip Cocaine Seizure: Underwater divers search for drug hidden in bottom of ship, hull
The Customs Department and Odisha Police have deployed several submarines to search for possibly more illegal drugs hidden in the hull of the cargo ship Bullock, where they had seized 22 packets of cocaine on December 1.
Although it is almost certain that the crew members are involved in smuggling, the police have been interrogating the crew during the last 11 days to ascertain any connection with Odisha.
According to reports, at least 10 people are under the scanner of the investigating agencies, among them three Vietnamese crew members of the boat, six operators of the crane at Paradip port and a director-level employee of an emergency agency.
However, Customs and Police have not yet given any statement regarding the investigation.
