SRK (Shahrukh Khan) films do very well here, but if you make Jawan or Pathan in Bengali, no one will go to watch it.” He said this is the era of domestic family dramas, fantasy thrillers and detective stories.

Commenting on the rise of OTT where complex stories are performing better than the big screen, Parambrata said the national audience prefers spectacle on the big screen to earn its money and according to him, this spectacle is associated with “masculinity”.
