Passengers created ruckus in Bilaspur railway station, train stopped by pulling chain
Bilaspur: Frustrated passengers created a ruckus at Bilaspur station due to not getting food and drinks in the train during the more than 4000 kilometer long journey. The hungry and thirsty passengers stopped the train by pulling the chain.
It is known that due to the train accident in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, Vivek Express running from Kanyakumari to Dibrugarh along with many other trains was also run on the diverted route. The said train was brought stopping for hours between Gondia, Durg and Raipur but they could not get food and water on any platform on the way. The train was stopping at a platform where there were no food stalls.
This train reached Bilaspur at around 12:00 noon. As soon as the train stopped on platform number one, hundreds of passengers got down but even here there were not many goods in the stall. The commotion continued for about half an hour. The train was stopped by pulling the chain. As soon as the station managers came to know about it, additional vendors were called along with the luggage and passengers were given the facility to buy food items. After this the train moved ahead.
