Patient died due to high dose of anesthesia in operation theater
Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, a young man who came to undergo operation of a rod attached to his hand has died under suspicious circumstances. The patient was kept in the operation theatre, when he died. After which the relatives created a ruckus in the hospital and said that the death occurred due to high dose of anesthesia. The incident is in the Civil Line police station area.
Pravesh Kumar Kaushik (27), a resident of Khamrihya, met with an accident two years ago. Due to which the elbow of his left hand was injured. On this, he was undergoing treatment at Bilaspur Hospital located in Mangala Chowk. During the treatment, the doctor operated on his hand and fitted a rod. Which was also advised to be removed later.
Relatives told, two years ago Pravesh Kumar was going to Bilaspur by bike. That’s why Kanan had fallen near Pendari. In this accident, he had a serious injury to his hand. The relatives had admitted him to Bilaspur Hospital for treatment. Since then he was completely healthy. The family members were also surprised after getting the information about the death of a healthy youth some time back. They didn’t understand the issue at first. During this, the relatives expressed their displeasure on the doctor and the staff and started creating ruckus. At the same time the doctor said that he died of heart attack.
