Patwari Sangh’s strike ended, the common people got relief
Raipur. Relief news has come to the fore for the general public. Patwari Sangh’s strike has ended in the state. The Revenue Patwari Sangh, sitting on an indefinite strike, has postponed its strike. The unconditional strike was withdrawn after discussion with the Chief Minister at CM House late night. Let us tell you that about 5700 patwaris across the state were on strike for the last one month.
The government had also imposed ESMA on Patwaris. Patwaris had to call off the strike after heated exchanges. Patwari Sangh President Bhagwat Kashyap said that all the works of the public related to revenue were getting affected. Due to this the strike has been postponed. He further said that earlier talks were held at Patwaris and secretary level with Kamal Verma, convenor of Chhattisgarh State Officer-Employees Federation.
As a result, the entire work of revenue came to a standstill. Due to their going on strike, demarcation, income, caste, residence certificates were not being made. Now on Friday i.e. from today the Patwaris across the state will return to work. After ending the strike, Patwari Sangh met CM Bhupesh Baghel. The Patwari Sangh was on strike for the last one month. The government imposed ESMA, but there was no effect on the Patwaris.
