Peddapalli: AITUC wins Singareni recognized trade union

Peddapalli: Congress of Trade Unions of All India (AITUC) has been elected as the recognized union in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). AITUC emerged as the recognized union receiving the highest number of votes (1999), while INTUC stood second. Voting will be held in 84 constituencies in 11 constituencies of Singareni from 7 am to 5 pm on Wednesday. Counting of votes continued till late night. Nearly 94.20 percent voting was recorded, that is, 37,451 voters exercised their franchise against 39,773 voters. AITUC emerged as a recognized union by securing 1999 votes.
