PFI master trainer Usman arrested from Bihar
Motihari (IANS). A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in collaboration with Motihari Police has arrested an active member of Popular Front of India (PFI). The arrested person has been identified as Usman Sultan Khan alias Yakub, an active member of PFI.
Confirming this, Superintendent of Police of East Champaran district Kantesh Kumar Mishra said on Wednesday that he was arrested from Chakia in East Champaran district of Bihar and he was the most wanted criminal.
It is said that Yakub was the master trainer of PFI and used to train PFI members.
After the Phulwari terror module of Patna surfaced, a video of Yakub, a resident of Chakia, surfaced, in which he is seen training some youths by hoisting the PFI flag.
Many investigating agencies including NIA, ATS were looking for Yakub.
It is said that the investigating agencies had raided his house a few months back as well. During that time he was not touched by the agencies. His house was searched by the investigating agencies and several incriminating materials were recovered.
According to police sources, NIA and ATS officials are questioning Yakub at an undisclosed location.
