Photos of masked thief captured

Idukki: CCTV has captured images of a thief who stole money from around 10 establishments by breaking the main doors of the establishments. All the theft happened this morning. The theft incident took place at Labbakada near Kanchiyar in Kattappana.

The video of the masked thief was obtained from nearby CCTV. Kattapana police reached the spot and investigated. Fingerprint experts and dog squad also collected evidence from the spot. The robbery took place at the village office, mini super market, Akshaya Kendra, oil trading establishment, public service center and a pet shop operating in Labbakada Town. The weapon used by the thief to break into the establishments was also found nearby.

Local residents are concerned that the thief stole money from so many establishments in a single day. Local people expressed doubt that the thief would have good knowledge about this area. Police investigation into the incident is ongoing. More than Rs 10,000 kept at Akshay Kendra was destroyed. Money and documents have also gone missing from other institutions.
