Pictures of Naxalites killed in encounter surfaced
Raipur. Three Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Saturday. On Tuesday, 13 Naxalites, including three women Naxalites, were killed in an encounter by security forces in Gangalur police station area of Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. A Naxalite was killed by security forces in Dantewada district on Friday. Dantewada and Bijapur district comes under Bastar Lok Sabha constituency, where voting will be held in the first phase of general elections on April 19. There was an encounter between police and Naxalites on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border on Saturday morning. Three Naxalites have been killed in the firing from both sides in Usoor police station area.
Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur Police and Greyhound team have launched a joint operation. During this period, the soldiers have also recovered weapons like AK-47, LMG. Police had received information that Naxalites were present in Karriguta forest of Pujari Kanker in Bijapur district on the border of Telangana and Chhattisgarh. After which CG Police and Greyhound Force of Telangana launched a joint operation to surround the young Maoists. On Friday night the force reached the core area of Naxalites. Naxalites were surrounded from both sides. There was an encounter between soldiers and Naxalites on Saturday morning, in which 3 Naxalites were killed. The bodies of all three have been recovered. Force is present on the spot.
