Pitru Paksha 2023 Important Dates – Bharani Shraddha, Navami Shraddha and Sarvapitri Amavasya
Bharani Shraddha – Bharani Nakshatra Shraddha is normally performed once after the death of the person, although according to ‘Dharmasindhu’ it can be performed every year. This ritual is considered very auspicious and important. It is said that by doing this Pitra Dosh is also removed. This year Bharani Shraddha rituals will be performed on 2nd October with Chaturthi Shraddha.
Navami Shraddha- Navami Shraddha is also known as Matri Shraddha. On this date, Pind Daan and Shraddha rituals are performed dedicated to the maternal ancestors in the family i.e. mother, grandmother, grandmother.
Sarva Pitru Amavasya or Amavasya Shraddha – According to the calendar, Sarva Pitru Amavasya is on 14 October this year.
