Every year, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country on the second day of Hartalika Teej festival of Bhadra month. This festival is dedicated to Ganpati Bappa, in which worship and aarti of Lord Ganesha is done for 11 days. We all know that Lord Ganesha loves food very much. In such a situation, why not make something delicious in the Prasad for this Ganpati puja. Here we have given some recipes, you can make them for Ganesh Chaturthi.
Make Puran Poli for Ganesh Chaturthi
Make dal mixture for stuffing. For this, cook soaked gram dal in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistles.
Now separate the water from the lentils and mash it, add sugar to it, mix it and cook on low flame.
Now add cardamom and nutmeg powder to it and cook till it dries.
Now knead the dough for Puran Poli, for this take flour in a big bowl, add salt and ghee to it.
Add water and knead a soft dough and leave it for half an hour.
Now to make Puran Poli, roll out the Puri and stuff it with the dal mixture and roll it out.
Heat the tawa (how to clean old tawa), apply ghee on both the sides, cook and serve hot.
Make Shrikhand for Ganesh Chaturthi
To make dry fruit Shrikhand, boil milk in a vessel for 15 minutes.
Let the milk cool down, remove the cream, add one spoon curd to it and leave it overnight.
Now in the morning, tie the frozen curd in a muslin cloth and hang it and let the water drain.
When the water drains out, keep it in the refrigerator to set.
After half an hour, add sugar, cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits of your choice to this waterless curd.
Sprinkle saffron water on top and serve.
