PM Modi confirms reception guidelines ordered by his office

Bangalore. In the wake of controversy over alleged violation of protocol during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Bengaluru on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar took the opportunity to provide clarity and said that his actions were strictly in accordance with the instructions issued. Their cooperation was invaluable, and on subsequent visits, the protocol can undoubtedly be followed.” The Prime Minister’s reception was limited to a select few dignitaries, including Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, Director General and Inspector General of Police Alok Mohan, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand, Bengaluru Regional Commissioner Amlan Biswas and Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner K A Dayanand. On the periphery, a cavalcade of BJP leaders waited outside the HAL airport for PM Modi’s arrival, their warm welcome echoing in the air as they stood resolutely behind the barricades.
