PM Modi leaves for India from Dubai

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for India from Dubai, United Arab Emirates after attending the COP28 World Climate Action Summit. Representatives of many countries have reached the United Arab Emirates for the COP28 summit held in Dubai. These include Kenyan President William Ruto. He said, perhaps he will visit India this weekend. On meeting Prime Minister Modi, President Ruto said, we had a brief conversation… I am looking forward to visiting India… India and Kenya have excellent relations. On Africa’s permanent membership of the G20 group, Ruto said, we want to thank PM Modi for ensuring this.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who mentioned the Green Credit Program at the COP28 World Climate Action Summit, addressed the high-level event. PM Narendra Modi said, “I have always felt that the scope of carbon credits is very limited. In a way this philosophy is influenced by the commercial element.” “I have seen a huge lack of social responsibility in the carbon credit system,” he said. PM Modi said that we will have to emphasize on a new philosophy overall. That is the foundation of green credit.

At the beginning of his address at the COP28 summit, PM Modi described climate change as a serious problem. He said that a resolution will have to be taken to reduce carbon emissions by 45 percent. He also proposed to organize the next conference to be hosted by India. The Prime Minister said that emphasis is being laid on One Earth, One Family, One Future. He said that considering the global scenario, it is very important to protect everyone’s interests.

Prime Minister Modi said that we will have to succeed amidst the challenges related to the environment. He also advocated for the Green Credit Initiative. PM Modi said that there is a need to work urgently on reducing carbon emissions by 2030. He said that all countries should support each other. Referring to the relations between UAE and India, PM Modi said that the partnership between the two countries will play an important role in the coming days. The Prime Minister attended seven major meetings during his 21-hour stay.
