Police arrested 5 accused of stealing railway tracks from the spot
Raipur. In order to curb the incidents of theft, Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal has directed all the officers/employees of Raipur Police to do night patrolling promptly. In the same sequence, on the intervening night of 22-23.07.2023, station in-charge Mandir Hasaud was patrolling the police station area with his team, that during patrolling, a four-wheeler vehicle was parked on the side of the railway line located between village Kopra to Nara under police station Mandir Hasaud area and some persons were keeping some goods in the vehicle, on which when the members of the police team approached, the persons tried to escape, who were chased and laid siege by the team members. Got caught During interrogation, the persons told their names to be Yashwant Markandeya, Devnath Bhardwaj, Gokul Prasad Khandelwal, Avon Markandeya and Chandan Kumar. On strict questioning by the team members, they were told to steal the railway track laid on the side of the railway line by cutting it with a gas cutter, the information of which was given by Police station in-charge Mandir Hasaud Inspector Rohit Malekar to Railway Protection Force outpost Mandir Hasaud.
On which outpost in-charge Railway Protection Force Chowki Mandir Hasaud reached the spot with his team and arrested the above five accused from the spot and seized a total of 12 pieces of stolen railway track and small elephant vehicle number CG/04/LW/7642 and 02 gas cylinders and cutters used in the incident. Action was taken against the accused by registering the Illegal Occupancy Act.
In this way, due to the promptness and vigilance of the police, the accused of theft were immediately arrested from the spot.

In the proceedings, Inspector Rohit Malekar station in-charge Mandir Hasaud, Thana Mandir Hasaud to Sauni. Chakkan Lal Sahu, R. Rakesh Hirwani, Rakesh Sahu and other staff including sub-inspector Taruna Sahu from Railway Protection Force Raipur played an important role.
