Police arrested two youths smuggling ganja

Kondagaon. City Kotwali Kondagaon police have arrested two youths smuggling ganja. According to the police, both the youths were smuggling 15 kg of ganja by bike. In order to smuggle Ganja, both the youths were carrying out the smuggling by posing as gas stove hawkers. The value of the seized ganja has been estimated at more than Rs 1.5 lakh.

City Kotwali Kondagaon police said that on the basis of information from the informer, on February 22, a motorcycle was blocked and stopped near Mardapal Tirah Chowk in Kondagaon for investigation. During the investigation, more than 15 kg of ganja has been seized from the possession of motorcycle-borne youths Salman Qureshi (24) and Khairul Bashar (20). Both the youths are residents of UP and were taking the bike from Odisha towards UP by hiding the ganja in the cartoon of gas stove. The value of the seized ganja is said to be more than Rs 1.5 lakh. At present, both the youths have been arrested under the Narcotics Act and sent to jail.
