Police have arrested Vadapalli Naveen, the president of BRSV of Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, for calling for an unemployment march on unemployment issues. Narkatpally police, who reached his residence in the early hours of Friday, detained Naveen and took him to the station. The arrest was made in the wake of calling for a massive demonstration on unemployment issues in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad.
Speaking on this occasion, Naveen demanded that the Congress government keep the promises made to the unemployed during the elections and announce two lakh jobs in the Assembly. He demanded that the government take immediate action on the problems of the unemployed and fill the vacant government jobs immediately. He expressed his anger that arrests made when questioned about the problems of the unemployed are against democracy.
