Police caught 7.146 kg hashish in Manikaran and Dunkhara
Kullu. Police have arrested 2 smugglers including a woman with a consignment of more than 7 kg of hashish in Manikaran and Dunkhara. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs Act and started investigation. According to the police, in the first case, Anita Devi, wife of Bal Bahadur, resident of Nepal, near Dunkhara Mod, has been arrested with a consignment of 6.130 kg of hashish. The woman was stopped for questioning on the basis of suspicion.
A consignment of hashish was recovered from his possession. In the second case, a smuggler was caught with 1.016 kg of hashish near NHPC Colony in Manikaran. The accused has been identified as Ganesh Bhat, son of Kishan Bhat, resident of Ward No. 3, Village Gurina, District Kanchanpur, Nepal. SP Sakshi Verma has confirmed the arrest of the accused. He said that the accused are being rigorously interrogated. It is being ascertained from where they had brought the consignment of charas and where it was to be delivered.
