Police checking campaign started before Diwali
Raigarh : The crowd in the market is going to increase due to Diwali festival. The district police has started its efforts to deal with the problem of crowd and jam. On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Sadanand Kumar, under the leadership of Traffic DSP Ramesh Chandra and Police Station Incharge Kotwali Shanip Ratre, the Kotwali and Traffic Police today evening of 05/11/2023 stopped haphazard standing on the road from Dhimrapur Chowk to Subhash Chowk and the entire market area. Chalan action was taken on two-wheeler/four-wheelers. TI Shanip Ratre has advised shopkeepers not to display goods outside their shops.
Road side street vendors have been advised to set up shop at identified locations. Subhash Chowk, in front of the SP office, near the railway station, Kotwali police issued challan to 22 two-wheeler/four-wheeler drivers. Traffic DSP Ramesh Chandra said that soon, along with the Municipal Corporation staff, action will be taken by running a campaign against those who put goods outside the shops affecting the traffic and the challan action will continue as per the rules on the vehicles parked in the no parking area.
